Teacher Workshop: Discovering Archaeology in the Flint Hills
When? Friday, Feb. 1 & Saturday, Feb. 2
Time Commitment? 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Attendance required both days)
Where? Flint Hills Discovery Center, 315 S. Third St., Manhattan, KS
How much will this cost?
Advanced registration is required, but there is no cost for registered participants, just numerous take-away benefits.
How will I benefit?
•Earn up to 20 professional development credit hours
•Receive a stipend for travel and lodging expenses and receive a free lunch during both workshop days
•Obtain your own copies of each units’ Student Magazine & Student Journal, as well as access to online teacher guides
•Provided with a set of fully developed and printed classroom materials when you use one or both of these units in your classroom (courtesy the Kansas Historical Society)
•Receive free admission passes to bring your students to the Discovery Center (courtesy of Gaia Salon and Day Spa)
